The much awaited NEET 2017 results has been declared by the CBSE. The results can be accessed from the official website cbseresults.nic.in. Out of the 10,90,085 students who appeared 6,11,539 have cleared the entrance examination.
The admissions in the medical colleges will be done based on these categories:
- All India Quota Seats
- State Government Quota Seats
- State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical/ Dental Colleges or any Private/ Deemed University
- Central Pool Quota Seats
15% All India Quota Seats
The Director General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India conducts the counseling for 15% All India Quota Seats as it was done earlier. Check for more information on www.mcc.nic.in.
State Quota Seats
Candidates may apply in their respective State colleges. A merit list would be prepared based on the state rules and All India Rank by the concerned counseling authorities. According to the CBSE, the counseling for Private Medical Colleges will also be conducted by the concerned State Counseling Authority.
The details of NEET counseling would be made available on the websites of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education Directorates of States. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official websites for regular updates.
